THE PAIN OF IT ALL
The past few days, my heart has been tender towards the plight of the people here in New Orleans resulting in many tears. Tonight while in the dinner line at another relief camp, I overhead 2 men talk about their options to rebuild their homes. One was elderly and walked with a cane. He told me that 8' waters flooded his home and after being rescued, an electrical fire burned it to the ground - he lost everything except his grandmother's washboard which he was now using to wash his clothes. The other man told me that his wife died in the rushing waters that sweep through their house which was also totally destroyed! So much pain... O Lord Jesus, please heal these hurting hearts and draw them both to Yourself.

"The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe." Proverbs 18:10
